Biomass heat plant

The biomass heat plant uses wood chips and Miscanthus (if applicable) as well as vegetable oil (rapeseed) from regional cultivation in a 950KW furnace with automated feeding.

Wood chips
The heat plant will basically be operated with wood chips from natural and untreated wood from the Odenwald region. This will ensure that the required energy can be delivered to all connected households throughout the year

Miscathus
In addition, we are currently researching the utilisation of Miscanthus (a form of reed). Miscanthus can be cultivated in agriculturally unused areas, is immensly fertile and thus could serve as source of income to the local farming community. Also, the domestic fauna benefits from the cultivation of Miscanthus.
